They will have the chance to explore career interests, improve communication skills, and work individually and in teams to produce multimedia stories. SPRING/BREAK Art Show is the curator-driven art fair in NYC and Los Angeles. This is the 202223 school year calendar for all 3K12 NYCDOE public schools. We’ll visit New York City museums and architectural sites, such as the High Line and Little Island, attend performances, and get behind-the-scenes tours of the Lincoln Center campus. Students will set much of the tone for the trip based on professional interests. Join us Spring Break for a field trip to the creative heart of American culture. Additionally students will have opportunities to shadow professional play-by-play announcers, print and broadcast reporters and team media relations managers. Students will have opportunities to go behind-the-scenes with Major League Baseball teams at practices, games and in one-on-one interviews. 38 Math Assessment administration : May 2. ![]() Students will experience first hand what it means to work behind the scenes in a professional sports league and have opportunities to produce publication-quality stories. Spring Recess (includes Good Friday and Passover), schools closed. This trip to MLB spring training would allow Murrow students interested in sports communication careers to practically apply skills learned at Murrow and network with industry professionals in a variety of career fields. First generation students may be eligible for a scholarship to cover the expense.Īpplication closes Wednesday, October 19th 2022. Maximum cost for $1,900 to cover travel expenses. March 10 – 15 of 2023 to coincide with Spring Break. In addition, participating students will have the opportunity to evolve as individuals by spending time with each other in multiple environments that aid professional and personal growth. The StratComm/media company tours often lead to prolonged lively discussions where ideas are shared, and relationships are cultivated. Going Digital in NYC is about bringing StratComm and media learning to life by allowing you the opportunity to immerse yourselves in the knowledge, culture and inspiration.ġ2 Murrow juniors and seniors will be selected to experience multiple settings with dynamic professionals who are eager to impart their knowledge, ideas and professionalism.
